Hi, my name is Nathan

I grew up steeped in a culture of food which led to the creation of a top rated catering company. As we grew, I found myself drowning in math, precision, and planning work needed to execute complex menus with a high volume of catering events, losing my passion for cooking in the process. Add to that, the need for restrictive diets for optimal health and it seemed impossible. I tried every app but I was left unimpressed.

Look, recipes are everywhere, but those mediums don’t all translate well into the kitchen. Cookbook recipes don’t scale easily and creating a shopping list takes forever! Digital recipes are great but it’s not useful when you have to jump to different platforms or devices. People want simplicity, the key to enjoying cooking.

I had a choice to either figure out how to automate the repetitive tasks to rekindle my passion, or lose it to the grind of manual and repetitive work. Being overly obsessed with tech automation, I had to create a smarter solution to prep food in the commercial kitchen and home kitchen alike.
